PROVIDENTIAL MEDIA WINS ASPN DEMO DAY

(Taiwan) August 2024

As countries around the world welcome home their Olympians, Providential Media is excited to welcome home CEO Denny Darmo and CTO Son Tran from a highly successful trip to Asia that included winning the ASPN Sports Tech Accelerator Demo Day pitch competition in Taiwan.

The event was part of the graduation day for the 12 international sports tech startup companies selected to participate in the 2024 ASPN Sports Tech cohort and featured 30 judges from 11 countries.

The cohort companies went through a rigorous application and interview process to be selected into this prestigious program. Hundreds of applicants from around the world vied for the opportunity to participate in the ASPN program. Throughout the 2024 cohort, PMG team members participated in various sessions and webinars learning from some of the most influential minds in startup and sports tech in the APAC region.

The organization is supported by the Sports Administration, Ministry of Education Taiwan, and executed by IAPS NYCU Accelerator (Center of Industry Accelerator & Patent Strategy). It collaborates with the 11 member economies of the APEC Sport Policy Network (ASPN) to jointly provide the best route for startups to enter the Asia-Pacific and Taiwanese markets in order to accelerate sports tech innovation.

Valuable Endorsements of the PMG Vision

"I’ve had the privilege of working closely with the Providential Team, and their relentless drive for innovation has consistently impressed me. Winning the ASPN Award is a well-deserved recognition of their commitment to transforming the sports media landscape. Their solution is perfectly aligned with the burgeoning opportunities in the Asia-Pacific market, which is ripe for such cutting-edge solutions. This milestone is just the beginning, and I’m excited to see how they will continue to shape the future of sports technology in this dynamic region."

“From my experiences of CRM & ticketing in Tokyo 2020 Olympic & Paralympic Games, mobile e-ticketing and fan club management of various contents including sports & major artists, I believe the Providential Media platform and products will create significant opportunities for contents holders to utilize their valuable assets in various ways toward the future. Especially, considering today’s issues of social media usages including ones in Paris 2024 Games, I’m convinced that the new platform and UGC management function would provide more friendly and safer environments with positive values for both users and contents owners such as professional teams & clubs.”
